Everton are exploring a deal to sign Chelsea teenager Sol Gordon.
It emerged over the weekend that Everton are weighing up a move for Sol Gordon, who has one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Gordon has made a real name for himself in Chelsea’s academy, registering 19 goal involvements for the under-18s and 21s last term.

The 18-year-old’s contract situation has also alerted Newcastle United and Bournemouth, so the Toffees have stiff competition.
In truth, Everton will probably really struggle to sign Gordon for one key reason.

Everton may struggle to sign Sol Gordon because of David Moyes
At the current rate he’s going, Gordon is on course to make his senior debut within the next year or so.
So, if he does decide to leave Chelsea, he will be keen to join a club that creates a clear pathway for him to become a first-team regular.
Unfortunately, that probably rules Everton out of the equation, as David Moyes’ track record with young players is really poor.
Tyler Dibling and Adam Aznou, who arrived as highly-rated teenagers last summer, have hardly had a look in under Moyes.
How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩
In fact, Aznou is yet to make his Premier League debut despite seriously impressing in La Liga with Real Valladolid last year.
Gordon and his representatives will probably look at those situations and opt against penning a deal with the Toffees.
Newcastle and Bournemouth are much more receptive to promoting young talent, so they’ll no doubt be the frontrunners.
