There’s not been much movement at Everton this transfer window but things are starting to heat up with the deadline fast approaching.

David Moyes has made it clear he needs signings this month and it’s understood the club have identified a number of transfer targets.

Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka have been linked to Everton whilst Lyon wide player Ernest Nuamah is also being mooted.

However, Nuamah’s proposed transfer to Everton could now be off as the French club have just received a cash injection, which has balanced the books.

Outgoing-wise, there’s was talk of Calvert-Lewin to West Ham United but those rumours have gone quiet since Moyes’ arrival.

Now, though, there is another Everton star who is ready to leave Goodison this month.

Beto is ready to leave Everton this month

Beto has been linked with a return to Italy for weeks and now having played just seven minutes under Moyes, he is ready to leave Goodison Park.

That’s according to Italian outlet TuttoSport, who claim he has his bags all packed and is desperate to join Torino.

Beto is really unhappy with his game time and it’s understood Moyes doesn’t really fancy him, either, so an exit clearly suits both parties.

But the stumbling block at the moment is his pricetag, with Torino not willing to meet the £16m valuation.

The Serie outfit have offered £12m, so there’s a pretty sizable gap.

Everton should just cut their losses on Beto

The Beto experiment just hasn’t worked at all.

When Everton paid £30m for the towering centre-forward in 2023, it did seem like a really expensive risk and so it’s proved to be.

Beto has netted just four Premier League goals since arriving and now 18 months later, it seems there’s no future for him on Merseyside.

So, Everton should just accept that they’ve got this one wrong and cut their losses instead of haggling for their valuation.

Anyhow, his sale could fund a move to sign a better replacement.
