Everton are running out of time to bring in any more faces before they head off to America for the Premier League Summer Series.

After a dismal start to pre-season, the need for signings is there more than ever for David Moyes.

Takefuso Kubo could be Everton’s fourth signing of the summer, and fans are very excited by Kubo’s links.

It’s clear that Moyes needs to improve from an attacking point of view, but there is also a need for serious depth in the squad.

Now, Moyes is looking to add a bit of tension in the camp for Vitaliy Mykolenko, as a defender has been targeted for Everton.

Everton looking to sign Bayern Munich’s Adam Aznou

With Moyes potentially frustrated by the lack of incomings, The Friedkin Group’s grand summer plan isn’t exactly moving quickly.

Thierno Barry’s signing was a welcome addition, but even that took it’s time to get completed.

The main thing is that a striker has been sorted, but one thing that hasn’t been is that Moyes wants a full-back to strengthen his options in those areas.

Now, they can do exactly this, as 19-year-old Moroccan defender Adam Aznou is someone of serious interest to the Toffees, according to The Athletic.

Aznou didn’t get much game time with Bayern Munich in his first season with the first team after a free transfer from Barcelona.

But by already naming these clubs, it just shows the ability the youngster has, as Aznou also showed promising signs on loan with Real Valladolid last campaign.

Moyes will be looking to add competition for Mykolenko, but Aznou has already got glowing reviews, which shows he could be an exciting candidate to add to the squad.

New Everton target Aznou has ‘incredible potential’

It’s a name fairly unknown to Evertonians, and many fans around England will be unaware of the 19-year-old.

But there is a reason the young full-back has got moves to the likes of Bayern, and he’s shown a great impression for their U19 squad.

The Moroccan provides an attacking intent that Moyes could use at left-back, but his praise previously speaks for itself.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl is a big fan of the youngster, making something very clear about the 19-year-old.

“He’s extremely talented,” Eberl said about Aznou via Sky Sports Germany.

“He has incredible potential, and that’s why we’re happy that he’s now also made it to the professional ranks. Hopefully, there will be a lot more games to come for him.”

“Adam has simply done very well in training and with the national team,” Vincent Kompany said. “He can be proud. Now he just has to keep working.”

Moyes added Mark Travers as ‘fresh blood’ to compete with Jordan Pickford, and now the same could be happening with Mykolenko.

Mykolenko struggles with pressure, so maybe now is the time for Aznou to step up to the plate as Everton look very keen.
