Everton have made two signings so far this summer transfer window, so there is plenty left to do in the market.
It’s understood that Everton manager David Moyes wants a minimum of four new signings before the end of the window.
The Toffees are eyeing Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss as a potential addition, whilst Jack Grealish continues to be linked to Finch Farm.
Grealish’s Manchester City teammate James McAtee is on Moyes’ radar, too, with Pep Guardiola willing to sanction his sale.
But, perhaps the most advanced deal is a player who has been likened to Marouane Fellaini by Jose Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho said Everton target Tomas Soucek is the ‘new Fellaini’
Everton are about to submit a £12m bid for Tomas Soucek, with his West Ham United future very much up in the air.
Moyes and his chiefs are confident a deal will be agreed, and his potential arrival would finally fill a void that has been missing.
Since returning to the club in January, Moyes said he wants to sign another Fellaini-esque midfielder, and that’s exactly what Soucek is.
In fact, Jose Mourinho even came out publicly in 2020 and said Soucek is just like the former Everton and Manchester United star.
“I told them to be aware of set-pieces against, which we knew they were very strong,” Mourinho told Sky Sports. “David found in Soucek his new Fellaini. They fought very hard to be lucky, so I praise them.
Soucek’s underlying data is really impressive
Soucek has a really strong relationship with Moyes, having spent four and half years together in East London.
The Everton boss knows exactly how to get the best out of the 30-year-old, so it’s a pretty low-risk signing.
Plus, Soucek’s underlying data is really impressive, as he ranks in the top two per cent for non-penalty goals per 90 compared to his positional peers across Europe, per FBref.
The 81-cap Czech Republic international also sits in the top one per cent for aerial duels won, so Moyes’ side would instantly become a lot stronger in both boxes.
