David Moyes could hand out rare Everton start after what James Tarkowski’s shared

David Moyes’ squad options are extremely limited heading into the away trip to face Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Three points is going to be an absolute must for Everton if they have any ambition of actually finishing in the European spots this season.

Consecutive defeats have not derailed Moyes’ side by any means, but failing to secure a win against one of the struggling sides in the Premier League would not be a good look.

Everton are eyeing two major upgrades in January to help continue the development on Merseyside.

There are, however, two games needing to be played in the Premier League before the market even opens for business.

Ahead of the game against Burnley on Saturday, Moyes is going to have an interesting decision to make on youngster Tyler Dibling.

David Moyes could shock everyone by starting Tyler Dibling in Burnley vs Everton

Last weekend, Moyes snubbed Dibling for Dwight McNeil ahead of the game against Arsenal on Merseyside.

The 26-year-old Everton midfielder did not exactly impress during his rare start for the Toffees either.

Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Turf Moor, Moyes could shock everyone by handing out what would only be Dibling’s second start in the Premier League this season.

Angus Kinnear has been impressed with Dibling’s training back at Finch Farm, but that has not translated into minutes on the pitch.

Everton spent big money on signing the 19-year-old talent from Southampton over the summer, which makes his lack of minutes even more bizarre.

Having the likes of Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish ahead of him is an understandable reason for him not to start.

But Moyes is currently without some of his star players and the youngster still cannot get into the starting XI.

Moyes must listen to James Tarkowski’s praise of Dibling

There is some irony in that Moyes really fought for Everton to sign Dibling, yet the 62-year-old simply will not start him.

Everton are now months into the season and Dibling has made just one start in the Premier League.

How would you describe David Moyes’ handling of Tyler Dibling so far? 😕

Kinnear is not alone in his praise for the winger, with James Tarkowski hailing Dibling in training for the work rate he has shown.

If Dibling cannot make the starting XI against the side who is second bottom of the league, with Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall unavailable then he must be doing something seriously wrong.

Saturday will offer a clear view of just how Moyes views Dibling – if that was not already clear.
