David Moyes makes firm Everton decision on deadline day

Beto is someone who has had a U-turn at Goodison Park after his brace in Everton’s 4-0 win against Leicester City.

The striker was excellent and has really stepped up in Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s absence, as Beto was labelled ‘unplayable’ for Everton.

The striker’s future has been up in the air, but Moyes has made his stance clear on the striker.

According to the print edition of ABC Sevilla (03/02/25), Real Betis made late contact to sign Beto, but their attempt ‘fell at the first hurdle’.

A meeting was held by Betis ‘sports committee’ last night as they analysed the different options on the table with Beto being considered a possibility.

Because of Everton’s lack of strikers, signing him has ‘become impossible’ and their late contact was quickly turned away by Everton and Moyes.

Beto can stake his claim as Everton’s main striker

Beto was of serious interest to Torino but after Calvert-Lewin’s injury, the striker’s future now looks bright.

Moyes clearly has a plan for the striker as Beto himself wasn’t trying to leave Everton.

With all parties aligned now on his future at the club, the 27-year-old can really capitalise on being the current main striker.

However, it could all change if Moyes decides to sign a new striker, but for now, Beto is the main man.
