Everton’s poor run of form at the Hill Dickinson Stadium has seen another game go by without a victory since the turn of the year.

David Moyes was able to welcome back some key players for the game against Leeds United, but that did not prove enough to secure a win.

Once again, Everton found themselves battling from behind, with Thierno Barry salvaging a point through his second half goal.

After the game, Moyes shared a transfer insight from Everton as the January window now enters its final days.

Everton fans, who was your standout performer in the 1-1 draw with Leeds? 🤔

More business would certainly have been hoped for this month, with the only movement seeing Harrison Armstrong recalled from his loan.

There have been a number of departures and there may be one player fearing for his future after his display on Monday evening.

Everton must be furious with Dwight McNeil after Leeds draw

It has already been suggested this month that Dwight McNeil could depart Everton, with the likes of Nottingham Forest claimed to be interested.

His role in Leeds’ goal will only highlight frustrations among certain fans as the midfielder failed to track James Justin into the box.

Dwight McNeil surely has to be dropped after his display vs Leeds doesn’t he, Everton fans?! 🤔

The winger was hooked at half-time as David Moyes changed the system…

McNeil could be seen trotting back as Leeds broke into an attack, and it was McNeil’s man who was able to find the back of the net.

The footage from the Sky Sports highlights is absolutely damning and not something the Englishman will want to look back on.

Nottingham Forest fans do not want to sign McNeil this month having heard the rumours earlier in the month.

However, his role in the Leeds goal was almost unforgivable given the lack of effort on display from the 26-year-old.

Fortunately for McNeil, injury issues may well secure his future on Merseyside for just a little bit longer.

McNeil surely must be sold in the summer

Everton find themselves in another difficult situation in the transfer window having failed to hit the January market with any real conviction.

The Friedkins have spent money at AS Roma, but the Toffees are still waiting to open their account in the market.

Perhaps Moyes’ lack of options will save McNeil’s future on Merseyside for just a little bit longer, but his display on Monday night was not one of the 62-year-old’s expectations.

McNeil was dragged off at half-time to be replaced by the returning Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The difference in quality was clear to see, but the lack of effort from McNeil in the first half may well particularly concern the Scot.
