Everton are going into their game against Leicester City with some serious injury issues.

David Moyes was able to put another three points on the board with the Toffees last weekend down on the south coast.

But the victory against Brighton & Hove Albion certainly came at a cost with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala suffering injury blows.

And they are two significant injuries with the midfielder now set to miss the remainder of the campaign.

Everton are still yet to sign any new players for Moyes this month with less than four days now remaining in the market.

Another big game awaits the Toffees on Saturday, and the 60-year-old may have to get creative with his team selection.

David Moyes set to start Beto in Everton vs Leicester City

The Friedkins are looking to sign a forward for Everton before the window shuts on Monday evening.

Calvert-Lewin’s hamstring injury has put a real strain on Moyes’ options and has left the Toffees with just one senior striker to select from.

According to Team Talk, Beto is not pushing for a move away from Goodison Park this month despite the reports elsewhere.

Torino have been keen to sign Beto this month with the striker handed a proposed move back to Serie A.

Instead, Beto is set to start on Saturday against Leicester as he will be handed a big opportunity to prove his worth.

It had been claimed Beto began watching Torino games earlier this month as he prepared himself for a move to Turin.

However, he is now set to become Everton’s main man in keeping them afloat of the relegation zone.

Beto has a point to prove

After Moyes landed back on Merseyside, the 60-year-old instantly chose Calvert-Lewin as his starting striker.

It was a decision which paid off, but Beto was left angered with Moyes for not selecting him instead of the Englishman.

But now it is time to show Moyes and the Everton fans just what he can do in his first Premier League start since the away trip to Manchester United eight weeks ago.

Alan Myers labelled Beto as ‘underperforming’ in the summer, now is his chance to prove his worth.
