Everton have now learned the fate of Evan Ferguson with a medical now booked for the striker.

It has been a slow transfer window for the Toffees who are yet to bring in a single player.

Carlos Alcaraz has agreed to join Everton, but no deal has been made official as of yet with the player making his way to Merseyside.

It has been an injury-riddled season for Everton who have lost three of their four senior strikers to serious setbacks.

Everton have been keen on Ferguson during this window with a pressing need to bring in further attacking reinforcements.

On Sunday morning, a huge update has emerged over the young striker’s future.

Evan Ferguson snubs Everton to join West Ham

Everton are looking to sign another striker before the deadline on Monday, but they are now seriously running out of time.

The future of Brighton’s young talent has now become a lot more clear in another blow for the Toffees.

According to Sky Sports, Ferguson is now set to join West Ham with a medical already booked in for the 20-year-old.

Ferguson will be joining the Hammers on a straight loan until the end of the season.

It will be a real blow for the Toffees with Everton looking to sign a new striker following their recent injury woes.

However, Everton are unable to pull off another loan deal with their quota currently full.

There are a number of other targets on the radar at Goodison Park, though.

Everton have shown an interest in Taiwo Awoniyi who Nottingham Forest would be willing to sell before Monday night.

Beto shows Everton he can replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin

After Saturday’s victory over Leicester City, Everton fans praised the performance of striker Beto.

The Portuguese forward netted two goals in what was a statement display as he filled in for the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

However, an injury to the 26-year-old could spell disaster for Moyes.

Everton have finally pulled themselves nine points clear of the drop zone, but an injury to Beto would leave Moyes without a single fit, senior striker.
