Everton are still considering a late move for Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
David Moyes may be growing concerned by the lack of transfer business having been done at Everton this month.
The 60-year-old has now been in the job for almost three weeks but he is still awaiting his first new signing.
A month on from their takeover, the Friedkins are keen to sign two players for Everton to help bolster Moyes’ options.
However, there have been some issues along the way.
But an opportunity is opening up for the Toffees as Everton have an interest in Ferguson who is available for a transfer before the deadline.

Brighton share Evan Ferguson valuation with Everton and West Ham interested
The Ireland international is not without his options over the coming days with West Ham rivaling Everton for Ferguson.
Having struggled for game time on the south coast, the 20-year-old is keen to move somewhere that he could confidently play regular football.
According to The Guardian, Ferguson is available for a loan or permanent deal ahead of Monday’s deadline.
And Brighton could be tempted to sell their promising youngster for a figure in the region of £40m.
West Ham are said to be growing in confidence over securing the services of the Irish striker with Graham Potter eyeing a reunion.
It has been suggested Everton have around £40m to spend this month in the transfer market.
But spending it all on one player may not exactly be the smartest of moves from the Friedkins given Everton’s injury issues.
Everton need to make their move for a striker
Time is very simply running out for Kevin Thelwell in the transfer market and Everton are in desperate need of a new striker.
Everton are also interested in Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest, but he may not get fans off their seats given he is not a first-choice striker.
But as the clock continues to tick down, it is players like Awoniyi who could come to the fore on Merseyside.
Ultimately, Thelwell only has a matter of months remaining on his deal at Everton and this window may not be reflecting too positively on him.
The Friedkins are expected to move on from Thelwell over the coming months.
