Everton may need attacking options before the transfer deadline, but left-back is also a position with few options.
The injuries on the weekend only highlighted the need for Everton to dip their toe into the winter market before the deadline on Monday.
David Moyes was keen to sign a new left-back when he joined the club earlier in the month.
Not a result of injury, but Moyes only has Vitaliy Mykolenko to choose from at left-back with the Ukraine international his only senior player.
Everton are keen to extend Mykolenko’s contract with the left-back having played a big role in the side this season.
However, another option could become available for the Toffees before the deadline in Kyle Walker-Peters.

Southampton name Kyle Walker-Peters price with Everton interested
Everton are showing an interest in Walker-Peters with the defender keen to remain in the Premier League.
However, he has received interest from abroad with the 27-year-old now in the final months of his deal with the Saints.
According to reporter Alex Crook, Southampton are now ready to sell Walker-Peters in these final days of the winter market.
Interested clubs like Everton have been informed it would take a bid in the region of £9m to see the defender move.
Leicester City and Galatasaray have both been credited in Crook’s report as two of the interested sides.
But the defender is looking likely to see out his deal.
Everton have also shown an interest in Ben Chilwell with the Chelsea left-back not wanted by manager Enzo Maresca.
However, the Toffees may struggle to secure a deal for the 28-year-old with their loan quota already full.

Everton’s lack of depth could be their downfall
Since landing on Merseyside, Moyes has been able to pull Everton to a seven-point cushion on the bottom three.
But their injuries and lack of depth could well see the gap built on the relegation zone cut very quickly.
Moyes is worried about Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury and that has left the 60-year-old with Beto as his only senior striker.
Everton are at risk of a similar issue at left-back with Mykolenko proving incredibly reliable fitness-wise.
However, that could quickly turn in the space of one game and it would leave Everton’s options extremely stretched.
