Everton have left it late to complete any deals in the winter transfer market.

David Moyes’ focus will be on the game against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon, but Kevin Thelwell will be looking to secure some late signings.

Coming into the window, Everton knew there was work needing to be done and that has only been emphasised by the recent injuries.

It looks as if Everton have agreed to sign Carlos Alcaraz on loan until the end of the season from Flamengo.

However, one midfield signing will not cover all of the needs on Merseyside.

There is a real lack of squad depth at Goodison Park and Moyes has insisted Everton need more signings before Monday’s deadline.

And a real opportunity at a shrewd piece of business has now emerged with a player who the Toffees have been keen on for a while.

Brighton make Everton target Tariq Lamptey available for £1.5m

Moyes has been keen to sign a new full-back this window with a real lack of depth on the left side.

Although not a specialised left-back, Tariq Lamptey is a player of interest to Everton with the Toffees monitoring his availability for months.

According to the Daily Mail, Lamptey has now been made available for a fee of just £1.5m before Monday’s deadline.

The 24-year-old is set to see his contract at Brighton & Hove Albion run out at the end of the season.

But Everton will need to make their move quickly if they do wish to sign the right-back with Ajax closing in on his signing.

Lamptey is not the only player of interest to the Toffees from Brighton, though.

Everton are still eyeing a move for Evan Ferguson with the young striker’s future on the south coast remaining unclear just days from the deadline.

Everton still need late signings before Monday

Alcaraz is due to fly to England on Saturday to complete his move to Everton.

However, there are still a number of needs for Everton before the window shuts with injuries and a lack of depth across their squad.

Beto is set to start against Leicester on Saturday and an injury to the Portuguese striker would leave Moyes without any fit, senior options.

For a side which is only one result away from being dragged back into the relegation battle, not enough has been done in the transfer window.

Thelwell and the Friedkins still have a lot of work to be done over the coming hours.
