Everton are exploring a number of options in the summer transfer market.

David Moyes has made a right-winger a top priority following Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom’s departures.

That said, Everton have made contact to sign Takefusa Kubo, who Real Sociedad will reluctantly sell if a £34m bid arrives.

David Moyes and his Everton chiefs are also eyeing a midfielder, which is another area of the pitch that looks very light after Orel Mangala and Abdoulaye Doucoure’s exits.

And, they’ve actually been handed a second chance to sign a very highly-rated Chelsea midfielder.

Everton given second chance to sign Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka

Everton were interested in signing Carney Chukwuemeka back in January, but ultimately he joined Borussia Dortmund on a six-month loan.

The 21-year-old made 17 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, however, many of them came from the substitutes bench.

As such, Dortmund are only willing to take him back on another loan, rather than a permanent, which has opened the door for Everton.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea only want a permanent transfer, so Moyes and his chiefs have a great opportunity to land one of their long-term targets.

Chukwuemeka compared to Jude Bellingham

According to the Daily Mail, Dortmund have been tracking Chukwuemeka since his Aston Villa days and they believe he can follow in the footsteps of now Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham.

The former England youth international has a very similar playstyle to Bellingham, as he likes to use his athleticism and ball carrying ability to drive up the pitch.

Chukwuemeka, who stands at 6ft 2, can operate as a box-to-box midfielder and also as a number 10, so his potential addition would certainly give Moyes options.

Chelsea slapped a £40m valuation on Chukwuemeka last year, however, that will surely have reduced after a somewhat hit-and-miss spell in Germany.

Everton remain keen on James McAtee, too.
