Everton are still looking to make their first official signing of the winter transfer market.

The frustrations over a lack of business were put to one side on Saturday afternoon as David Moyes’ men collected another three points.

However, the transfer deadline is now less than 48 hours away and Everton are yet to sign anyone.

Everton have agreed a deal for Carlos Alcaraz to join on loan for the remainder of the term, but it has not been made official just yet.

The Friedkins wanted to make two Everton signings after taking over in December, but it is proving a difficult market to operate in.

And the Toffees have just received an answer on one of their late targets.

Chelsea share Carney Chukwuemeka answer to Everton

Everton have shown an interest in Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka over the last month with his future at Stamford Bridge under scrutiny.

The youngster has not been given many opportunities to showcase his talent under Enzo Maresca.

However, Fabrizio Romano has now claimed Chelsea have informed clubs they will not be looking to offload the 21-year-old permanently.

The Italian journalist has said Chelsea will only accept a straight loan for Chukwuemeka ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

Borussia Dortmund are also showing an interest in the £30m-rated midfielder, but any loan deal for the youngster will not include an option to buy.

Chukwuemeka is not the only Chelsea midfielder potentially on the move with Everton also interested in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

But there is one major issue for Everton in landing these players with their loan quota already full.

Chelsea will not cancel Armando Broja’s Everton loan

Everton’s winter market has largely revolved around the future of Armando Broja who has suffered a serious injury.

Chelsea will not cancel Broja’s loan, which has made life complicated for Everton who are unable to make any further loan deals.

In recent days, it has been claimed Broja’s injury may not be as serious as first thought and he could return in a matter of weeks.

But the Albania international has shown no indications of providing the goods for Everton in front of goal, with real concerns over his fitness.
