Everton are already plotting their January transfer business.

Sean Dyche’s side have been underwhelming this season and reside in 16th place, so there’s evidently a need for reinforcements in the January transfer window.

Fans are starting to grow frustrated with Dyche with many calling for him to be sacked at the weekend after the 1-0 defeat to Southampton.

Some have even tipped David Moyes for a return to Goodison Park until the end of the season, but for now, it seems Dyche will remain in post.

Everton are looking to bolster his ranks this winter and have been eyeing a playmaker on the continent but he’s now just suffered an injury blow.

Everton target Stanis Idumbo suffers injury blow

Everton are showing an interest in Sevilla’s Stanis Idumbo after scouts were impressed with his performances against the likes of Barcelona.

Aston Villa and Brighton’s recruitment chiefs have also been keeping tabs on Idumbo, who is enjoying a stellar breakout season in LaLiga.

But, during Sevilla’s 2-0 defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday, it has just emerged that the teenager suffered an adductor injury.

It’s not thought to be a serious injury and he may only be sidelined for a few weeks, so it shouldn’t jeopardise a potential switch to Merseyside.

Everton should also sign a striker

Everton should also target a striker during the January transfer window as Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to frustrate supporters.

Tammy Abraham would be the ideal replacement for Calvert-Lewin, who looks completely bereft of confidence.

Abraham only joined AC Milan in the summer but he’s been benched in recent weeks, so the Serie A giants may allow him to depart this winter.
