Everton fans can finally get excited about potential transfers this month with their PSR worries put to bed.
The Friedkin Group have arrived on Merseyside with a fresh start being promised for the Toffees under the new owners.
With a new manager bounce on the weekend, David Moyes will now want to see signings made at Everton with just over a week remaining.
It is safe to say the Friedkins are trying to get deals over the line this month.
But they are coming up against some issues with doubts over whether Everton can sign Ernest Nuamah from Lyon.
However, there is one defender who has now been mooted as a potential option for the Blues.

Everton mooted as option for Pietro Comuzzo
Although scoring has been the main issue this season, Everton have been linked with Emerson Royal from AC Milan.
Although those rumours have been squashed, a potential defensive addition remains a possibility.
In an article for the Daily Mail, Fiorentina youngster Pietro Comuzzo has been mooted as a potential signing for Everton.
It is suggested Comuzzo is showing a real desire to learn from his early showings over in Serie A.
The youngster is looking like a real prospect not just for any club who may potentially sign him, but also for the Italy national side.
Everton could lose Michael Keane this month with interest growing from the Championship as his contract winds down.
So potentially adding another young defender to their ranks may be on the radar for the Friedkins.
Who is Pietro Comuzzo?
The 19-year-old centre-back has already established himself as a regular in the Fiorentina starting XI.
Soon to turn 20, Comuzzo has burst onto the scene as a potential successor for the likes of Giorgio Chiellini in the Azzurri national side.
| 2024/25 | Total |

| Serie A appearances | 18 |
The article from the Mail mooted Comuzzo as a potential heir to the throne left behind by the likes of Chiellini.
And speaking to the media in November, Comuzzo admitted he idolised the former Juventus centre-back as a child.
“He is. I enjoyed the Euros in 2021, and watching Chiellini play those matches and lift the trophy was an immense joy,” said Comuzzo.
The only issue Premier League sides may face is the demand likely to come from the bigger sides in Italy to keep their talent within the country.
