It’s been a chaotic day at Everton leading up to the transfer deadline.

Carlos Alcaraz is about to sign for the Toffees after completing his medical and there’s an announcement expected shortly.

Everton have also bid £10m for Tom Fellows but West Bromwich Albion are unlikely to sanction his sale at this stage.

David Moyes has also been eyeing Sunderland’s Tommy Watson, but again, there are too many stumbling blocks to overcome for that to materialise.

Now, Everton News have just been informed by Graeme Bailey that the club have been offered Samuel Chukwueze.

Everton offered AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze

Everton News understand the Toffees have been offered the chance to sign AC wide player Samuel Chukwueze.

The Toffees have a long-standing interest in Chukwueze, however, the club have been quick to turn down the offer and now Premier League rivals Fulham are exploring the deal.

Moyes was keen to sign a striker before the deadline but despite interest in Rangers’ Hamza Igamane, they have been unable to strike a deal.

With the window slamming shut in a matter of hours, Everton are gearing up to announce the signing of Alcaraz, who will be their solitary addition.

Everton set for more PSR wiggle room in summer

By being limited in their business this month, Everton have left themselves a lot more wiggle room PSR-wise for the summer window.

Moyes will have much greater funds to strengthen his squad and it’s thought for the first time in a long time, the club will be out of their financial constraints.

With the move to Bramley-Moore Dock looming, the future is certainly bright on Merseyside and there’s a genuine belief that Moyes can return the club to its past glories.

So, despite a somewhat uninspiring window for Everton, it’s certainly set themselves up well for the future.
