Everton could see their new owners launch a January raid with AS Roma for one of their in-demand players.

The January transfer window could bring about some sizeable changes at Everton with the Toffees in need of something to drag them away from the bottom three.

Sean Dyche will be hoping for new players to come through the doors this month with the summer signings failing to make much of an improvement.

The Friedkin Group are eyeing two January signings for Everton with upgrades for midfield and up top on their rafar.

But it seems as if they could also make a move between their two clubs with an Everton player potentially heading for Rome.

The Friedkins eyeing Everton’s Beto for AS Roma

Goals have been the biggest issue for the Toffees this season with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future at Everton uncertain amid the January window.

He may not be the only striker on Merseyside whose future could lie elsewhere this month with Beto also a player in demand.

According to Calciomercato, Everton have named their price for Beto this month with the Toffees looking for an initial loan deal and then a €16m (£13m) obligation to buy.

There is plenty of interest coming from Serie A with Torino keen on Beto as they look to offer him a return to Italy.

But there is also the warning of a potential surprise from Roma with The Friedkin Group potentially looking to bring in a new striker for Claudio Ranieri.

Beto has made it clear he wants to leave Everton with a move in January looking like a real possibility.

Beto’s time at Everton is over

With Everton struggling so badly for goals, Dyche finally made a change up top in the latest game against Nottingham Forest.

Armando Broja was selected over Calvert-Lewin but the Blues were unable to find the back of the net.

There is a lot of excitement around Everton for Broja and Youssef Chermiti with Beto stuck on the bench once again.

With the Portuguese striker failing to make an impression with Calvert-Lewin losing his spot in the starting XI, Beto’s opportunity looks to have been and gone under Dyche.
