Everton’s summer transfer plans are now being progressed with their manager highlighting the squad’s deficiencies.
David Moyes wants Everton to sign nine players before the window shuts, with huge work needed on Merseyside before September.
Time is running out before Everton’s curtain raiser in August away to Leeds United, and there is still a lot on Angus Kinnear’s to-do list.
Landing Thierno Barry has been the marquee piece of business so far at Everton.
Reinforcements will be needed to get the best out of the young Frenchman, with Everton plotting a move for Tyler Dibling from Southampton.
As the Toffees look to get a wriggle on in the market, Gabriel Agbonlahor has shared three names he thinks Moyes should sign.

Everton urged to sign Tyler Dibling alternative Omari Hutchinson
Moyes is keen to sign a new winger at Everton, and he has felt that way since he stepped back on Merseyside in January.
The Friedkin Group have offered a new lease of hope at Finch Farm, but there is still a lot of work to be done before Moyes shares his excitement for the new term.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Agbonlahor has shared three names that Everton should be signing, with one potential Dibling alternative.
“There’s players out there that we spoke about in our meeting. Can you go out and get Josh Brownhill, who’s left Burnley?” he said.
“Can you go and get Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich? Brentford are interested in him. You should be beating Brentford to the signature of Hutchinson, I think it’s £35m that Ipswich want.
“What about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall? Not going to play much at Chelsea, but a very good player.”
Moyes is keen to sign Jack Grealish on a potential loan deal from Manchester City.
That is a possibility which would blow all of those suggestions out of the water in terms of showing the club’s ambition.
However, a deal like that is unlikely to happen quickly, and Everton will have to be patient with that one.
Gabriel Agbonlahor thinks Everton’s squad isn’t good enough
Earlier this week, Moyes admitted Everton are not ready for the new league season to begin.
Back-to-back defeats in the Summer Series has highlighted the weaknesses in Everton’s squad depth this summer.
And that is something which Agbonlahor has picked up on.
“I got the squad list before we went on air. Their midfielders… Idrissa Gueye: decent player. Carlos Alcaraz, who they’ve just signed. James Garner, but even going forward, you’ve got: Beto, Thierno Barry, Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye. They need more!”
Everton fans will want to see the big-name signings made, but it has to be remembered just how many players departed in June at the end of loan deals and contracts.
Plenty of work still needs to be done to convince Moyes he has a squad ready to compete in the Premier League.
