Everton have had numerous injury setbacks to deal with this season.
Even over the last week, Everton have lost Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala to injury which will prove major losses.
David Moyes has seen his options depleted in the three weeks in which he has been back on Merseyside.
Armando Broja also suffered a serious injury just days before Moyes was appointed.
However, there is now a feeling Broja’s injury may not be as serious as first feared, with a potential return before the end of the term on the cards.
Everton have a matter of days remaining in the winter market to make some additions.
But there has been some positive news to come from Dwight McNeil who has shared an update on his recovery from injury.

Dwight McNeil shares Everton injury update
McNeil has been sidelined with a knee injury for nearly two months now after suffering the issue back in December.
Initially, Sean Dyche suggested the midfielder would be back to action quickly, but that has turned out to be anything but the case.
On Friday evening, the 25-year-old posted an image following his surgery to try and clear up the issue which has prevented him from returning to the action.
With the photo of McNeil giving a thumbs-up, he captioned the post: ‘Be back soon.’
A number of players took to the comments to share their messages of encouragement for the Everton midfielder.
| Player | Message |
|---|---|
| James Tarkowski | Flying kite emoji |
| Tim Iroegbunam | Two heart emojis |
| Joao Virginia | Waiting for you to come back brother |
| Ben Godfrey | Rest up r kid |
Martin Keown praised McNeil earlier in the season for the threat his delivery had offered Everton from set pieces.
And how the Toffees have missed his creative spark over the last month or so.

What David Moyes has said about McNeil’s injury
Having only made his return to Goodison Park three weeks ago, Moyes has been unable to select McNeil in his starting XI.
However, he has had a glimpse at the Englishman in training at Finch Farm when McNeil returned to the grass.
However, that’s when the issue returned and the decision was made that he needed to undergo surgery.
“Yeah, Dwight [McNeil]’s had a minor surgery. I’ve just spoken to him as I walked into the press conference,” he said in Friday’s press conference.
“It’s the first I’d seen him actually back in the building. So hopefully this will be sorting out his injury, which was a little bit difficult to sort of diagnose. But hopefully this will help him get him back.
