Everton number one Jordan Pickford will be in action this evening.

Jordan Pickford is set to start England’s first World Cup game against Croatia in Dallas, Texas.

Pickford will collect his 85th cap for the Three Lions and will have officially played at five major international tournaments.

Which Everton player are you expecting to have the best World Cup? 🏆

The Everton shot-stopper can also break one of his own records and further cement himself as a legend for his country.

Jordan Pickford can break his own clean sheet record vs Croatia

Pickford already holds multiple records for his club and country, with one being the most appearances in a major tournament by an active Toffees player.

The 32-year-old also has the most England clean sheets at major tournaments, even more than the legendary Peter Shilton.

Pickford has kept 12 clean sheets across his four tournaments (World Cups and Euros), and if he prevents Croatia from scoring tonight, he will extend that superb record to 13.

How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩

Roy Keane also predicted Pickford to become the most-capped England player of all time earlier this week.

So, quite clearly, there should be absolutely no doubt in anybody’s mind that Pickford is a world class goalkeeper.

That should not be up for debate anymore. He has proven himself time and time again at the very highest level.

Everton supporters have already known that for some time, but it seems like the media and neutral supporters are starting to recognise that now.

Paul Scholes recently came out and said Pickford is good enough to start for France, which is high praise indeed.
