Everton have seen a number of their former players give the world of management a go.
The current Everton manager is enduring his own struggles this summer before the Premier League season has even started.
David Moyes sent another transfer message to Angus Kinnear on Wednesday night following the defeat against West Ham United.
Fortunately, it seems Everton are working on deals in the background, with Everton keen to sign Douglas Luiz, amongst others.
There has been a mix of success in the world of management when it comes to former Everton players.
And there is now one former player who has just been appointed as an assistant manager in the National League North.

Former Everton star Francis Jeffers appointed Macclesfield assistant manager
Former Everton academy Neil Dewsnip hailed Francis Jeffers as good of a talent as Wayne Rooney during their time together on Merseyside.
The forward depart Everton for Arsenal, where it never really worked out for him.
On Thursday, the now 44-year-old was announced as the new assistant manager of National League North side Macclesfield.
Jeffers has previously coached back at Finch Farm with the Everton U21s, before he departed for various coaching roles in men’s football.
After just over two years out of the game, Jeffers has now joined up with Macclesfield, where he will work under manager John Rooney.
Although he may have been likened to Rooney on the pitch, it is the England legend who has had a bigger influence in the world of coaching.
Rooney once turned down the Everton managerial role, but he has recently been slammed by Birmingham City owner Tom Brady.
Jeffers will be looking to find his feet again in the sixth tier of English football.

Jeffers is already looking to win the league
In recent months, Jeffers has been wowed by the work Moyes has done behind the scenes at Everton.
The 44-year-old will be hoping to take some of the stuff he has learned from the likes of Moyes over the years into the role at Macclesfield.
Speaking in his first interview with the club, Jeffers has shown his ambition after already claiming his goal is to win the league.
“Some good football players here. They showed that last season, didn’t they? Don’t want to put too much pressure on them this season,” he said.
“Last season, they’ve obviously walked the league. We go up a level now, but listen, the standard of football players is easily capable of doing the same again, I hope.”
