It seemed almost inevitable, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin will officially leave Everton on Tuesday.
After much deliberation over whether the striker could stay or go, it seems that Calvert-Lewin saw the best solution as parting ways with Everton.
The announcement made by the 28-year-old left Everton fans split, as after nine seasons, the difficult choice was made.
It’s unknown what is next for the forward, as David Moyes will definitely have to bring in a new number nine. The hope is that Everton will sign Thierno Barry for around his £33m price tag.
But in terms of Calvert-Lewin’s future, it might not take him too long to find his next chapter.

How many clubs want Dominic Calvert-Lewin after Everton exit
It’s such a shame to see it end like this for Calvert-Lewin and The Toffees, but an injury away at Brighton this campaign seemed to be the final nail in the coffin.
Although he has been up there with the best in the Premier League, there is no denying the striker’s fitness has played it’s part in his exit, and it was an emotional final message to Evertonians.
Now it’s looking like the striker could remain in the top flight as English clubs have spoken to Calvert-Lewin already.
But that’s only half of the story, as reporter Mark McAdam on Sky Sports has revealed how many clubs actually want the striker this summer.
“This was a phenomenal piece of business for Everton, who paid about £1.5million for him in August 2016,” McAdam said on 29 June, 7:13pm.
“Where can he go? Well, pretty much anywhere he wants. There will be 10-15 teams in the Premier League and Europe asking, ‘is Calvert-Lewin one for us? Is he someone we can afford?”.

One club stands out as likely destination for former Everton striker Calvert-Lewin
With clubs now circling for a potential bargain, there is every chance The Friedkin Group might have made a mistake.
It’s unclear whether it was the club that made the decision, but after Calvert-Lewin wanted to stay at Everton, it looks pretty clear.
Whichever club does end up landing the striker, it seems like a win-win, as not only does he sign for free, but if he hits the ground running, Calvert-Lewin can replicate his Everton success.
Of course, this was seen minimally during the latter stages of his Toffees career, but there could be one team that suits him to a tee.
This being West Ham United, not only could they match his £100k-a-week wage, but there is likely to be a vacancy after Niclas Fullkrug’s failed move.
Adding to this, Graham Potter has been able to get the best out of strikers with a similar build to the 28-year-old, as Everton target Evan Ferguson was a major success during his time at Brighton.
It seems obvious the Hammers could be the perfect destination, and West Ham fans have welcomed Calvert-Lewin’s signing, but it looks as though the striker will have many options on the table.
