Everton are still on the hunt for their first signing with Ernest Nuamah a player of real interest.
David Moyes will now be preparing for this weekend’s trip down to the south coast to face Brighton & Hove Albion.
However, Moyes is hoping to see two new signings at Everton before the window shuts in just over one week’s time.
It has been a difficult season for Everton but the win on the weekend over Tottenham Hotspur has provided some real optimism on Merseyside.
Moyes will be quick to remind everyone it was just three points and now is the time for the Friedkins to build on the positive mood around the club.
And there would be no better way to provide the fans with a boost than signing their first January addition.

Jake O’Brien wants Everton to sign Ernest Nuamah
Everton are confident of signing Nuamah from Lyon this month after they held positive talks over a deal last week.
There may not have been a great deal of progress in the days since, but his former teammate Jake O’Brien thinks he’d be a great addition for the Toffees.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the Ireland international provided a glowing review of the 21-year-old winger.
“A good player, an exciting player. He can attack, he is positive in the way he plays – it would be great to have him,” O’Brien said.
Fabrizio Romano claimed over the weekend Everton remain in talks with Lyon and Nuamah over a potential deal.
However, this could well be turning out to be a similar story to the last transfer window involving the winger.

Jake O’Brien could pair up with Nuamah down the right side
Sean Dyche broke his promise with O’Brien with the defender not being given a real opportunity under the former manager.
However, the early signs under Moyes are promising with O’Brien surprisingly starting at right-back against Spurs.
Everton fans were impressed with O’Brien playing in his new position under Moyes on the weekend.
And seeing Nuamah potentially land on Merseyside, the pair could team up down the right side over the coming months.
Not only could this be a positive on the pitch, but O’Brien’s presence at the club could well help Nuamah settle – if he is to join – with a familiar face around the club.
