Everton are making moves to bolster the club well in advance of the summer transfer window even opening.
It is set to be a huge opportunity for Everton to finally make some quality additions to their squad following the arrival of the Friedkins.
David Moyes is expected to be financially backed in the market by the Americans, with the club going into the window considerably less stressed about breaching PSR.
It is not just additions on the pitch which the Friedkins have been targeting, though.
Everton are closing in on an agreement for Nick Hammond from Leeds United who could follow in the footsteps of Angus Kinnear this summer.
The Friedkin Group are keen to bring in new faces to the club’s recruitment structure as they aim for a major reshuffle.
With an agreement for Hammond all but confirmed, TBR Football’s Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey has informed Everton News of his first task on Merseyside.

Everton have already set Nick Hammond transfer task
Coming into the summer window, Everton are keen to address four key positions of their squad.
A new defender is going to be one of those, but that is not with Everton fearing a potential departure for Jarrad Branthwaite.
Hammond’s Everton switch is all but sealed, and Bailey claims he will be tasked to find Everton a new defensive addition this summer.
“He’s going to be in charge of transfers. He’s going to be a big part of it, Hammond will be leading. He’ll be the lead on Everton transfers, along with the other group going in there even though David Moyes is there,” he told Everton News.
“I’m told it’s going to be a very much a European-based model the Friedkins will adopt and go with. Obviously, he’ll converse with Moyes and ask his opinion, but it’s not going to be like when Moyes was previously at Everton.
“I think there’s quite a few centre-halves that they’re looking at. I don’t think Branthwaite is going to leave, personally. Hammond is coming in and he’ll do his work on that.”
Everton have shown an interest in David Hancko as they look to bolster their backline, which has remained solid once again this season.
But with Michael Keane set to leave the club, additions to the squad depth is going to be just as important as improving the quality of the starting XI this summer.
The Friedkins have transformed Everton’s recruitment structure
Since the new owners touched down on Merseyside, it was apparent big changes were going to be brought to Everton Football Club.
That is exactly what has been seen as Kevin Thelwell gets set to leave Everton at the end of the term having led the transfer committee at Goodison for years.
There may be some who feel Thelwell deserved a better shot at it with the new owners in charge, but they are looking to put their stamp on the club with their own structure.
Numerous players are also set to leave the club at the end of the term when their deals are up.
This is why it has been so important the Friedkins have been on the ball and putting pieces into place for the window opening.
Everton will have a healthy transfer budget for the summer, but they are going to need it to provide Moyes with a squad worthy of playing in their state-of-the-art new stadium.
