Everton’s squad will look very different at the start of next season.

The Friedkin Group are preparing for a busy summer transfer window with plenty of additions to David Moyes‘ squad.

On the outgoing front, there are expected to be several high-profile exits as eight first-teamers are out of contract.

Not to mention Orel Mangala, Jack Harrison, Armando Broja, Carlos Alcaraz and Jesper Lindstrom, who are all due to return to their parent clubs.

The window is set to open its doors at the start of June and already transfer rumours are beginning to surface.

With that said, it’s just come to light that a key Everton star could move to a European giant.

Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin linked with shock move abroad

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out of contract at the end of the season and there’s been no development on tying him down to a new deal.

Moyes would love to keep Calvert-Lewin, but at this stage, he’s headed for the exit door with a number of clubs keeping tabs.

Newcastle United have been linked with Calvert-Lewin, as have West Ham United and Arsenal over the last 12 months.

But now, according to Calcio Mercato, European giants Napoli are closely tracking the 28-year-old and could make an official approach.

The Serie A league leaders have a three-point cushion at the summit and could be headed for a second title in two years.

Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku have been crucial in Napoli’s success this term, so clearly they’re eager to fish in the Premier League market once more.

Calvert-Lewin has been labelled one of Everton’s ‘most important’ players, so he’s certainly viewed as an interesting option for a number of suitors domestically and overseas.

The 13 Everton players who could leave this summer

It’s not just Calvert-Lewin’s future that hangs in the balance, in fact, there are 13 players who could leave in the summer.

Not all of them will depart, of course, with Everton set to offer Idrissa Gana Gueye a new deal, whilst Lindstrom’s option to buy may be activated.

But quite clearly, Moyes and his recruitment team will be busy as they have a tough task in finding suitable replacements.

Everton have been looking at Jerome Opoku, who could join from Basaksehir as a cheap Michael Keane replacement.
