Everton have plenty of developing transfer sagas this January but no more than Beto who has had a busy few weeks.

David Moyes praised Everton fans ahead of the 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa as his return to Goodison Park didn’t go as planned.

This was partly due to Everton’s inability to finish off chances which remains a concerning prospect for Evertonians.

Evan Ferguson is open to joining Everton but it looks unlikely this month due to the striker’s injury issues, as the Brighton man would no doubt have made a good addition for Moyes.

Another striker who’s been in the news around Everton is Beto, as the latest update has emerged in his whirlwind transfer saga.

Torino ready to make ‘definitive attack’ for Everton striker Beto

Torino have been interested in Beto for some time now as it’s still unaware where the striker will end up come February.

The latest update has been provided by the print edition of Italian outlet La Stampa (16/01/2025) who claim the Serie A side are ready to make a ‘definitive attack’ for Beto.

Torino have made it clear that the striker is the ‘number one’ objective this window as they continue to return with offers for the Portuguese.

Moyes left Beto on the bench in the Aston Villa game which has now been seen by Torino as an instant indication Beto is ‘not’ a part of his plans.

However, Moyes has made it clear that he sees it as the complete opposite.

Moyes is clearly keen on the prospect of keeping Beto

The Everton boss will no doubt need all the help he can get in this window and that could be by keeping all the attacking output he’s got in the squad.

Although it’s not a very good attacking output judging by Everton’s last five games in the Premier League.

Moyes has detailed his desire to keep Beto which could prevent Torino from completing any sort of deal for the 26-year-old.

After previously having players with aerial prowess during his managerial career, Moyes might be able to get the best out of Beto who stands at 6’4.

The indication of leaving the striker on the bench might have been mixed signals from Moyes, as the saga continues on.
