Everton are going through a bit of a wobble during this festive period as they’re winless in three games.

After back-to-back defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal, Everton were expecting to get back into the win column against Burnley.

But, David Moyes’ side were held to a goalless draw by Burnley in what was a really disappointing performance.

Is David Moyes too negative? 🤔

Beto was really underwhelming, and it highlighted how badly the Toffees need to sign a striker this winter.

Everton have now slipped into 11th place, and here is how many points they’re predicted to finish on, according to Opta’s supercomputer.

Opta’s supercomputer predicts Everton’s season

Everton have ambitions to qualify for Europe this season, but have lost a little bit of ground on the top six in recent weeks.

Heading into the second half of the season, Moyes’ men are three points adrift of sixth-placed Manchester United.

The supercomputer has now made a fresh prediction on where the Toffees will finish, and it doesn’t make for great reading.

The software, which is led by data, expects them to finish in 13th place on 50 points, which would be a really disappointing campaign.

Everton need a lift in the January transfer window

Everton are really feeling the effects of injuries and AFCON at the moment, as they’re without Iliman Ndiaye, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Jarrad Branthwaite, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish.

That would be an issue for any team in the Premier League, but it’s made even worse by the fact that Moyes doesn’t really have a very big squad.

Thankfully, the winter transfer window is just days away from opening, so the Friedkin Group must back Moyes and bring in more quality.

The Toffees are exploring a deal to sign Nicolas Jackson and AS Roma’s Artem Dovbyk has also been linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

A full-back is also a top priority, and Vitinho is thought to be on Everton’s radar.
