Everton fans have been in dreamland since the arrival of David Moyes after Sean Dyche left.
The Toffees were in a world of trouble only a couple of months ago, with Everton looking nailed on to be fighting against relegation.
But the defeat against Bournemouth in December would finally prompt change.
Dyche angered The Friedkin Group when he told them he felt he couldn’t take Everton any further than he had.
TFG were prepared to back him, but then had to act. They felt he had given up.
In came David Moyes, and Everton have not looked back, with the club having surged up the Premier League table.
Moyes’ work so far has not done Dyche’s reputation any favours. The Scot really hasn’t made too many changes, with Everton only bringing in Carlos Alcaraz in January.
For Brentford manager Thomas Frank, there was perhaps one factor that led to Dyche’s demise.
Thomas Frank claims Sean Dyche ran out of steam at Everton

There will always be an appreciation for how Dyche kept Everton in the Premier League.
But ultimately, he is a manager for a specific job, and it was his time to when he did. Clearly, he himself felt that as well.
The former Burnley boss did do some good things during his time at Goodison Park.
Obviously him keeping the club in the Premier League was huge, but he deserves credit for the way he has laid the foundations for a solid defence as well.
Thomas Frank was speaking about Dyche in his press conference yesterday ahead of Everton’s game with Brentford tonight – and the Dane feels it was simply a case of him running out of steam.
He said: “I think Sean Dyche did a very good job at Everton. Maybe in the end there was a little bit of running out of energy, but I don’t know from the inside.
“What happens sometimes, when another good manager in Moyes comes in, is that there are fresh eyes and a new energy. In terms of style, I don’t think they have changed too much. Small tweaks, small details.”
Frank also praised James Garner and a few other Everton players who have been key since Moyes replaced Dyche.
Leicester fans have called for Dyche
For many Evertonians, it was a relief when Dyche left the club.
His inability to get Everton to score goals was a serious issue, and many felt the club were hurtling towards relegation under him.
Sean Dyche managerial record at Everton
Games managed – 83
Wins – 26
Draws – 24
Losses – 33
Goals scored – 99
Goals conceded – 122
Points per match – 1.23
But despite his ultimate failings at Everton, there is still some demand for Dyche amongst some fanbases.
Last week, Leicester City fans called for Dyche to come in and replace Ruud van Nistelrooy, who is really struggling for results at the King Power Stadium.
It will be fascinating to see if Leicester stick with van Nistelrooy or twist with Dyche, who might be keep to get straight back into management.
Rangers fans also had their say on Dyche, but they were much less keen.
