Everton’s recruitment team will no doubt be having a close look at the 2026 World Cup.

David Moyes has joined the talkSPORT team for the tournament this summer, so he’ll be watching plenty of potential transfer targets.

Everton have been linked with Djed Spence, who has impressed for England so far, and Japan striker Ayase Ueda is also on the Toffees’ radar.

After watching him for England vs Croatia, I’m convinced he’d be the perfect right-back signing this summer! 🔥

Everton are also keen on the Netherlands’ Crysencio Summerville, who has netted two goals while laying on an assist in his first two games in America.

That said, here are two other World Cup stars Moyes’ chiefs should seriously consider signing.

Folarin Balogun – USA

Folarin Balogun has been one of the standout performers at the World Cup, as he netted a brace for the USA in their group stage opener against Paraguay.

Balogun laid on an assist in the second game against Australia, evincing both parts of his game as a number nine.

The former Arsenal frontman netted 19 goals for Monaco last term and is clearly only improving as he reaches his prime years.

The 24-year-old is attracting interest from Newcastle United and Aston Villa, so Everton should join the race.

David Ornstein reported on X yesterday: “Folarin Balogun expected to leave Monaco this summer. Contract 2028 but no talks over new deal + striker favours move. Interest from PL & Europe building amid #FIFAWorldCup form; anticipated #ASMonaco will seek ~€50m to sell.”

Dennis Undav – Germany

Another World Cup star Everton should look at is Germany’s Dennis Undav, who also plies his trade as a centre-forward.

Given Moyes is ‘fixated’ on signing a striker, it wouldn’t at all be surprising if the club are already considering a move for Undav.

The Stuttgart number nine came off the bench against in both of Germany’s group stage games and stole the show.

Undav netted one and provided two assists in 26 minutes against Curacao, and in the Ivory Coast clash, the 29-year-old scored a brace to turn the game on its head.

Undav isn’t just a flash in the pan at the tournament; he actually scored 25 goals for Stuttgart last season and registered 14 assists.

Only Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane scored more in the Bundesliga, so he’d be a real coup if the Toffees managed to land his signature.
