Significant changes are being made at Everton for the upcoming summer transfer window.

This is going to be the first real opportunity for The Friedkin Group to get their feet under the table and get to work at Everton.

Kevin Thelwell admitted January was a difficult market for Everton to operate in given their concerns with PSR.

However, a new dawn is being promised on Merseyside this summer under the Friedkins.

Everton are being backed by a healthy transfer budget this summer as the new owners look to provide David Moyes with the backing he needs to take the club forward.

The money may be there to spend, but Everton must ensure the right players are being brought into the club.

With changes made to the club’s recruitment set-up, there is now set to be another departure as talks have reached an advanced stage.

Gareth Prosser in advanced talks over Everton exit

It had been suggested earlier this month that Gareth Prosser was in talks with Rangers as he looked set to join Thelwell at Ibrox.

However, there has been a sudden U-turn for the Everton academy chief who is now in talks over another move.

According to one club insider, Prosser is ‘advancing’ in talks with the UAE side Al Jazira over a move this summer.

The Everton academy director is another who looks set to depart Finch Farm as the Friedkins have already made some major changes.

Angus Kinnear was spotted at Craven Cottage on the weekend as he watched his new side secure three points on the road.

A number of Everton’s recruitment staff have moved on and Prosser may not be the last of them.

Dan Purdy is also set to leave Everton at the end of the campaign and he is expected to land a new role fairly quickly elsewhere in the country.

Everton set for fresh start under the Friedkins

Although some Everton fans will be disappointed to leave behind Goodison Park, the stadium move comes at a great time for the club.

Bramley-Moore Dock is going to provide Everton with a £60m revenue boost each year as the Friedkins look to take the club forward.

The stadium move promises a fresh start for the club alongside the numerous contracts set to come to an end.

On top of all that is Everton’s change to a European-style recruitment system which has a number of new faces coming in at board level.

There is no doubting this is going to be one of the busiest summers for the club and there is a lot to be sorted before the new season.

But Everton fans must be excited at the prospect.
