Everton’s interest in Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri is already experiencing a number of issues.
David Moyes is more than two weeks into the January transfer window now and he is still waiting on his first signing.
The Toffees are in clear need of goals after the opening half of the season from the current Everton strikers.
This has led Everton to making an offer for En-Nesyri, who has also received interest from a number of other clubs.
No deal will be concluded this weekend given the striker is preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations final with Morocco on Sunday.
However, there has seemingly been a development that will interest those at Finch Farm.

Aston Villa enter the race for Youssef En-Nesyri amid Everton interest
It has been suggested that Napoli are showing an interest in En-Nesyri alongside the likes of Everton and Nottingham Forest.
As the £17m-rated player’s future continues to be questioned within Turkey, another Premier League club has entered the picture.
According to one journalist speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Aston Villa have now been offered the chance to sign En-Nesyri.
How big of a risk is this for Everton? 😫
Scoring goals in Turkey is completely different to the Premier League…
Tammy Abraham has already favoured Villa over Everton in recent days.
Now it looks as if Unai Emery’s side could inflict further pain on the Blues, but the same issue will surely mean a move to England remains unlikely.
The Toffees have not put all their eggs in one basket with their search for a new striker, as Everton have also shown an interest in Callum Wilson.
It is clear, though, that the Moroccan striker has some top quality suitors across Europe.

En-Nesyri does not want to move to England
Everton News’ very own columnist Alan Myers claimed En-Nesyri was not keen on moving to England this month.
The striker has settled in Turkey, but the prospect of playing in Italy may still appeal to him.
Surely any hungry striker would leap at the chance to play in the Premier League? 🫣
Not the best look for Everton's potential new striker…
There has even been a suggestion that En-Nesyri would not move to a cold country.
This would instantly rule Everton out and, if that’s how he truly feels, then the Blues should very quickly move on from their interest in him.
With Juventus interested, there is some irony in that potential move as Turin and the surrounding areas are far from warm at this time of year.
