David Moyes will no doubt want additions despite Everton’s flawless victory against Leicester City on Saturday.

Moyes will be happy with his current squad after the start of his second spell with the Toffees but there is still room for improvement.

One player the Everton boss is already a fan of is Idrissa Gana Gueye who’s opened contract talks with Everton as Moyes is building a squad fit for the Premier League.

Moyes has eyed a full-back at Everton as this position will need competition despite Vitali Mykolenko’s solid start under the Toffees manager.

A target who already likes the idea of joining the club has previously given his view on a deal at Goodison Park.

£20m star has already given his thoughts on Everton interest

Along with Gueye, Mykolenko is in contract talks with Everton as there is no sign of the Ukrainian leaving anytime soon.

However, this doesn’t mean his spot in the team is completely safe.

The main full-back target that has been mooted is £20m-rated Adrien Truffert who’s interested in Everton.

This isn’t the first time both club and player have crossed eachother’s pathways, as Truffert was linked to the Toffees in 2022 under Frank Lampard.

The defender spoke to RMC Sport about this interest indicating he knows of Everton’s size.

“Everton and Ajax interested? Yes, I knew. Of course, it’s flattering to have these clubs interested in you,” Truffert said.

“Honestly, the question doesn’t necessarily arise today. I have a contract until 2025 with Stade Rennais. We had a complicated end to the season, now I have the qualifications with the Espoirs, so for the moment I don’t have to ask myself this question.

“I’ll ask myself it later, with my parents and my agents. My parents are super important, it’s a strength.”

Everton’s budget gives no reason why they can’t go for Truffert

The 23-year-old is clearly keen on the prospect of making a move to Goodison.

His £20 million price tag may raise concern for Everton supporters, but it’s only a slight dent in what was expected from the club this window.

The Friedkin Group have given Moyes £40m and signing Truffert could turn out to be a bargain and add to one of the two signings expected at Everton.

With Carlos Alcaraz close to signing for Everton, Truffert could follow in what could be a sustainable window for the Toffees.
