Everton are being linked with several players both domestically and overseas.
David Moyes has his eye on James McAtee from Manchester City, however, Nottingham Forest are leading the race to land his signature.
Hamza Igamane is also on Everton’s radar after a really productive breakout season in Scotland with Rangers.
Douglas Luiz has been continuously linked with the Toffees, too, with Moyes keen to sign a central midfielder.
Now, Alan Myers has shared what he’s hearing about a potential Luiz transfer to Everton.

Everton not in talks to sign Douglas Luiz
Everton reportedly made their first offer for Luiz this week, with Moyes and his chiefs submitting a loan with an obligation to buy bid.
Toffees supporters really want Luiz as they believe it’d send out a real statement of intent to the Premier League.
However, when asked about the potential transfer, Alan Myers poured cold water on it.
Myers wrote: “As far as I’m aware we are not in discussions for him.”
So, it seems Everton are focusing on other targets, with Freiburg’s Merlin Rohl believed to be on Moyes’ shortlist.
Everton interested in Tomas Soucek
Evidently, Luiz, who is a deep-lying playmaker, is a very different profile of midfielder to what Moyes normally recruits.
There have been suggestions that Everton have already submitted a bid for Tomas Soucek from West Ham United, which is more like Moyes’ typical target.
The Scotsman worked with Soucek for four years in East London and it’s well documented that they have a really strong relationship.
So it wouldn’t at all be surprising if the Hammers star was actually his number one target, rather than Luiz.
Only time will tell.
