Everton have a number of contract decisions to make ahead of the summer.
David Moyes has been able to manage the action on the pitch with ease since making his return to Goodison Park.
Under the Scotsman, Everton have transformed their Premier League form to comfortably pull away from the bottom three.
However, there is a lot in which the Friedkins and the Everton chiefs are needing to figure out ahead of the summer.
Everton are looking to appoint Angus Kinnear as CEO, but there is also the pressing matter of players soon to see their contracts expire that needs addressing.
But there seems to be one major contract breakthrough which could soon be sealed.

Idrissa Gana Gueye agrees to new Everton contract
One of the main players Everton have set to see their contract run out in the summer is midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye.
Everton are keen to hand Gueye a new contract, as per sources at Everton News.
And reports from Africa Foot, the 35-year-old midfielder has now agreed to terms on a new deal with the Toffees.
The Senegal international is said to be ‘close’ to signing a new contract now on Merseyside.
It is believed the veteran midfielder has only agreed to extending his stay at Everton for one further year.
Gueye has received interest from other clubs whilst his contract situation has been unfolding in the background.
But it looks as if the midfielder is now set to play under Moyes for the 2025/26 campaign at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Moyes said contracts would have to wait until Everton were safe, but that looks to have changed.

Everton fans want Gueye to sign a new contract
There are more than 10 players who could be set to leave Merseyside over the coming months as their contracts come to an end.
But Everton fans have demanded for Gueye to be handed a new deal, with the midfielder playing a huge role this season.
Regardless of who has been the manager at Goodison, the 35-year-old has been a mainstay in the starting XI.
However, it has to be said, Moyes has been really impressed with Gueye and the performances the midfielder has provided him.
It now seems the pair are set to spend the next year together as Everton make their move into their new home.
