Everton have some big decisions ahead of them with numerous players running out of contract.
Kevin Thelwell is expecting a busy summer at Everton, with his own future becoming more clear over recent days.
It has now been suggested Thelwell is set to leave Everton at the end of the season.
The director of football is just one of those on Merseyside who is set to see his contract expire in the summer.
Several players find themselves in the same boat, with Everton keen to offer Dominic Calvert-Lewin a new contract, to name just one.
Speaking to Everton News, TBR Football’s Chief Transfer Correspondent Graeme Bailey has provided the latest on the future of midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye.

Everton keen to hand Idrissa Gana Gueye a new contract
Gueye has hinted towards remaining at Everton with just a matter of months remaining on his current deal.
And it seems sources around the club are also of the belief Gueye is keen to stay on Merseyside, as Bailey shared his understanding.
“He’ll be up for the challenge to stay. They like what he’s done. Everton will be making big changes in the next 18 months, with PSR as well. They’re not going to be able to bring half a dozen players in,” he said.
“Somebody like Gueye who Moyes trusts, from what I’m told, he will be offered the chance to stay.
“So that’ll be up to him whether he does, but I think the player is pretty happy and is enjoying being a part of the process under Moyes.”
Everton only signed Gueye for £2m and he has proved to be a real mainstay in the starting XI.
Gueye is outperforming all midfielders across Europe’s top five leagues when it comes to tackles and ground duels won combined this year.
David Moyes loves Idrissa Gueye in Everton’s midfield
As Bailey suggested, Everton are going to need to tie down the players they feel are still providing the club with a solid return.
The 35-year-old is certainly one of them with Moyes sharing his love for Gueye already after just over a month back on Merseyside.
Despite his age, Gueye is still providing Everton with some seriously impressive and consistent performances in midfielder.
Orel Mangala’s Everton future remains uncertain with the potential of a permanent move put under doubt following his serious injury suffered against Brighton.
With uncertainties surrounding a number of positions, allowing Gueye to leave on a free at the end of the season would be viewed as a real own goal by the Friedkins.
But they are going to have to act decisively as it has been claimed Gueye has been in talks with clubs over a summer move.
