David Moyes has been speaking in his press conference ahead of Everton’s clash against Brighton on Saturday.
The Everton boss has plenty on his plate at the moment, as in the mix of the transfer window, Moyes has to focus on keeping the Toffees in the Premier League next season.
In January there will be plenty of targets on the table, Ricardo Pepi could emerge as an Everton transfer as Moyes could look into the possibility of a new attacker.
At the same time, it’s not been as easy as picking off targets, as competition looms, with Brighton pursuing Everton target Habib Diarra.
The Toffees also lost out on a transfer target earlier in January, which was becoming fairly concrete.

David Moyes would’ve pushed the Friedkins to sign Jaden Philogene
Before Jaden Philogene’s move to Ipswich Town, Everton showed a long-standing interest in Philogene.
However, The Friedkin Group were snubbed by the 22-year-old as he opted for a move to the Tractor Boys.
Kevin Thelwell admired Philogene and was the main instigator behind Everton’s pursuit, but it turns out he wasn’t the only one.
The current Everton manager has now labelled the former Aston Villa man as ‘incredible’ following his brilliant campaign with Hull City last season.
Moyes was asked about his strategy when buying players from the Championship in his pre-match press conference, (20:24) ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brighton, as he praised Philogene.
“We’re in a world now where we can pick players from any continent whereas a long time ago it wasn’t as easy as that,” Moyes said.
“The Championship last year produced some incredible players – Morgan Rogers, Adam Wharton, Philogene.
“The championship is always a place we should look into.”

Moyes could’ve developed ‘magnificent’ Philogene at Everton
Philogene struggled to find his place at Aston Villa as it prompted interest from Everton and Ipswich.
Moyes has got £40m to spend this window so Philogene’s £20m fee to Ipswich may have impacted Everton’s potential signings this window.
But there is no doubt Moyes would’ve got the best out of the winger judging by his impact on Iliman Ndiaye so far.
Former Hull boss Liam Rosenior labelled the 22-year-old as ‘magnificent’ (2:02) last season, and the winger clearly has a promising future.
The Everton boss thinks highly of him and would probably have been keeping a keen eye on the Toffees’ pursuit of him at the time.
Who knows, further down the line could we see Moyes show his interest if Ipswich are relegated this season.
