Everton are in desperate need of some new signings and they need to land quickly on Merseyside.
Wednesday night saw David Moyes cast a frustrated figure once again following the Summer Series defeat against West Ham.
It was a really poor showing from Everton, with the 62-year-old left concerned over the quality and depth of his squad leading into the new term.
“I’m not overly concerned about the results because I don’t have the players,” Moyes very bluntly put it after the loss in Chicago.
Since he returned in January, Moyes has demanded a new winger to be signed at Everton, and this rings even more true after two exits in June.
Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom may not have offered much last season, but they still need replacing.
Everton hold an interest in Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo, and the Spanish outfit’s terms have now been laid out for Everton.

Everton informed of Real Sociedad’s terms for Takefusa Kubo
It is believed Everton are waiting on Malick Fofana to decide on his next move after showing their interest in the Lyon winger.
An alternate option for the Toffees is Kubo, but Moyes is clearly growing impatient on the wait for new signings to come through the door.
In Thursday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, Everton’s interest in the Japan international is highlighted once again.
However, it is also claimed that Real Sociedad have no intention of accepting anything less than Kubo’s release clause.
The winger’s release clause is understood to be €60m (£52m), with Real Madrid taking a huge 50% of any profit on the sale.
If he was to join, Kubo would become Everton’s first-ever Japanese player and he would certainly be a welcome addition by Moyes.
The Scot’s patience is wearing thin, and these Summer Series games are showing just how much work needs to be done before the season starts in August.
Everton cannot afford to wait on Malick Fofana
Big decisions need to be made behind the scenes at Everton now on what players they are going to go and sign.
Of course, it is easier said than done, but they cannot afford to wait weeks on players like Fofana to seek other opportunities before deciding on Everton.
If the player is not fully convinced on the prospect of playing for Everton, then move on.
Everton hoped the new stadium would attract high calibre players, but that is not exactly proving to be the case.
There is still plenty of time for the Blues to turn things around in the market, but there is not a lot of time before the season actually starts.
