The wheels are finally starting to move in Everton’s January transfer window as the Blues suddenly seem to have found their wallet.

David Moyes clearly needs some better options to select for his starting XI following some really tricky weeks on Merseyside.

It is not just about replacing Everton players who may not be performing, but it is also about bringing in players who can potentially elevate others.

Everton need to decide if they want to sign Jack Grealish permanently over the summer, and he is not currently living up to his extremely high valuation.

The 30-year-old has failed to really push on at Everton since his opening month, which saw him win the Premier League Player of the Month award.

However, the Blues are now eyeing a player who Grealish has already admitted he loves playing alongside.

Everton eyeing player who Jack Grealish loves playing with

It is believed that Everton are now pushing to sign a striker, with Youssef En-Nesyri on the radar for the Blues.

The Moroccan is not the only forward that Everton are looking at as an option and there is one player emerging as a target that will really please Grealish.

Everton are keen on Callum Wilson amid his imminent exit from West Ham United following a difficult first half of the season.

The veteran striker is someone who Grealish has already played alongside during their days with the England national side.

During the opening game of England’s World Cup in 2022, Grealish was able to find the back of the net having been set up by none other than Wilson.

“What a man! Thanks for the assist @callumwilson,” said Grealish on Instagram after the game.

Moyes has been told how to improve Grealish and one way is to add more quality in and around him in the side.

Questions will be asked whether Wilson actually provides an upgrade on what Everton already have, but he would clearly be a signing that would please Grealish.

Everton planning ahead of the summer market

Potentially signing a free agent, 33-year-old striker would suggest that Everton are looking for a stop-gap until the summer.

It may be frustrating, but it may also be the best option for the Blues given the difficulties experienced in the January market.

Surely any hungry striker would leap at the chance to play in the Premier League? 🫣

Moyes has shared his concerns over signing anyone in January having now gone over two weeks without any arrivals.

Signing a player like Wilson, who has Premier League experience, over someone like En-Nesyri may be the best option for Everton.

After all, Everton News columnist Alan Myers has shared En-Nesyri’s stance, which will not exactly inspire the fans on Merseyside.
