It’s been a busy 24 hours for Everton with the transfer window set to slam shut in the next hour.
The Toffees have explored a late move to sign Tom Fellows, however, West Bromwich Albion have knocked back their bid.
Everton have also been offered Samuel Chukwueze by AC Milan, but David Moyes has rejected the chance to land the Nigerian winger.
At this stage, Carlos Alcaraz is set to be the club’s only addition unless there’s a late twist in the final stages of the window.
And with that said, there’s now been a further development on the situation of an Everton target in the last few hours.

Everton have been eyeing a move for free agent Willian this winter transfer window and it was claimed that the club were really trying to push through a deal.
However, it has now emerged that he is set to rejoin Premier League rivals Fulham and was spotted in the capital attending Chelsea vs West Ham United this evening.
He has agreed to join the Cottagers but there is no immediate rush to get a deal done as he can sign after the 11pm deadline due to his free agent status.
David Moyes seems content with his current options, especially with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Broja back sooner than expected.
The Toffees have been shrewd in the market this window as they’re still restrained by PSR, so they were only willing to add to their squad if it significantly improved them.
Evidently, Willian did not fall into the category.
Everton’s main priority was a striker today
Whilst Everton were clearly open to bringing in a wide player today, their main priority was always a striker.
Moyes admitted he wanted a striker ahead of the deadline but that was before the positive injury news came out about Calvert-Lewin and Broja.
So it’s understood their stance changed midway through the day as they no longer felt the pressing need to pursue a deal for a centre-forward.
The Toffees will now have more funds to spend in the summer after a pretty quiet winter window.
