Everton were exploring a deal to sign Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey.
It’s been well-documented that David Moyes wants to upgrade on Jake O’Brien at right-back this month, as he doesn’t provide enough of an attacking threat.
Everton have looked at several options, but it’s Sacha Boey whose name has popped up more and more in recent days.
Seamus Coleman is almost back… does that make a right-back less of a priority in the transfer market? 🧐
The Toffees were tipped to make a ‘serious’ bid for Boey after it was reported that he had a fallout with manager Vincent Kompany.
But, now there has been a sudden twist in the potential transfer.

Everton target Sacha Boey doesn’t want to leave Bayern Munich
Boey’s situation at Bayern was labelled ‘not exactly promising’ by German outlet Kicker earlier this week, with his relationship with Kompany under question.
But, despite interest from Everton, Lyon and Marseille, Christian Falk has now reported that the 25-year-old doesn’t want to leave.
A new striker now looks less likely… how do you feel about that?
Falk understands that the Frenchman is on a substantial contract at the Bundesliga champions and is confident that his situation will improve.
So, it’s pretty much back to the drawing board for David Moyes and his recruitment staff, with 10 days remaining of the window.
Everton could turn to Juanlu Sanchez
Everton tried to sign Juanlu Sanchez last summer, and they’re still showing an interest this January transfer window.
The Toffees made an approach to sign Sanchez last week, and Sevilla are willing to sanction his sale for around £13m.
So, that seems like a very doable deal, but clearly Moyes is keen to explore other options before advancing in a deal for the Spaniard.
What will you think about TFG if Everton don’t address their needs in the winter window? 🤔
The pressure is on The Friedkin Group according to Alan Myers…
Alan Myers has reported that Everton are circling Ryan Alebiosu, noting that the Toffees are ‘one to watch’ in the race to sign the Blackburn Rovers full-back.
