Farhad Moshiri howler emerges as European League proves to be a haven for former Everton players

Farhad Moshiri had some shocking decisions in his time at Goodison Park as Everton fans won’t be reminiscing on his sparkling ownership.

Moshiri, to put it bluntly, was a failure at Everton, and that shows from his tenure there.

Duncan Ferguson slammed the sacking of Sam Allardyce as the former Toffees boss did end up with a decent record from his managerial stint.

This is only one of a whole list of Moshiri mistakes though, as the Friedkin Group just have to tick the right boxes to keep Evertonians happy.

During his time at the club, Moshiri made some questionable sales, which are now coming back to bite the club.

Farhad Moshiri howler emerges with three former Everton stars

David Moyes will be hoping to work effectively with the Friedkins to correct the mistakes of Moshiri.

His failed structure at the club worsened when Everton tried to resign Antonee Robinson, who is arguably the most in-form full-back in the Premier League at the moment.

Robinson is just one sale of many that have backfired, and the Serie A has proven to be a haven for former Everton players who are now some of Europe’s finest.

The three in question are Romelu Lukaku, Ademola Lookman, and Moise Kean, who were all sold by Moshiri for a combined figure of £112.5m.

Now, this doesn’t seem too bad value for three player sales, but considering the statistic that has emerged, it makes for frightening viewing.

Currently in the Italian league, the trio ranks in the top five goal involvements in the Serie A.

Beto almost followed suit at Everton with Serie A move

The Friedkins very nearly made the same mistake with Beto in January but chose to avoid a Moshiri-like blunder.

The striker has been on glittering form under David Moyes as Beto scored in four consecutive league games showing how well the 27-year-old has adapted since the Scotsman’s arrival.

But he very almost followed the same destiny as the likes of Lookman, Kean, and Lukaku.

Beto was linked with a move to Torino as the striker almost joined the group of former Toffees players to start a new chapter in the Serie A, with Beto having his bags packed, it seemed very likely he would exit Goodison Park.

Luckily for Everton, the Friedkins avoided the same mistake as Moshiri, but if things go wrong for Beto suddenly, Italy will no doubt be ready and waiting.
