Everton piled the pressure on Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou over the weekend.

Marco Silva could replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham

And according to the Daily Mail, former Everton boss Marco Silva is a potential candidate to replace Postecoglou if he is to be sacked.

The work Silva has done since leaving Merseyside has earned him some big praise from across the game.

Everton sacked Silva in 2019 and he has since found his feet in London with Fulham who have impressed this season.

Everton must regret sacking Marco Silva

Although fans will be delighted to see Moyes make his return to Goodison, there must be an element of regret in sacking Silva.

Jamie Carragher has praised Silva and suggested he is Farhad Moshiri’s biggest mistake in letting him leave.

The Portuguese manager has Fulham impressing in the Premier League and has shown some real quality in his recruitment.

This is not the first of the big six to approach the former Everton boss with Manchester United recently keen on Silva.

But the target for Everton now is clear with Moyes returning to keep the Toffees afloat this season in the Premier League.
