Everton’s January transfer window has certainly been a frustrating one so far.
Any January window tends to follow a similar path with most Premier League clubs finding it a difficult one to operate in.
David Moyes is working on transfers with Kevin Thelwell as the pair have assessed their list of targets recently.
Everton are still awaiting their first signing of the month, but there has been some positives to come from the weekend’s game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Toffees make the trip south on the weekend where they will take on Brighton & Hove Albion.
But they are now running out of time to get any new faces through the doors for Moyes ahead of the journey to the south coast.

Everton continue to talk with Ernest Nuamah
Perhaps the biggest transfer rumour this month at Everton has been Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah.
Everton were confident of signing Nuamah last week after the talks they held with the parties involved in a potential deal.
And speaking on the Market Madness show, transfer guru Dean Jones has claimed the Toffees continue to touch base with Lyon over the 21-year-old.
“The winger one at Everton is interesting, they keep touching base with Lyon about a player called Ernest Nuamah,” Jones said.
“Now, they don’t have loads of money right now it seems, but when you have new owners, a new manager and a new stadium, you’re going to push the boat out more than people expect.”
Nuamah has approved a potential move to Everton this month following his failed transfer to the Premier League over the summer.
But it is whether the two sides are able to come to an agreement on the valuation of the winger.
Ernest Nuamah included in Lyon’s squad to play Fenerbahce
As the games continue during this month’s transfer window, Nuamah played for Lyon against Toulouse over the weekend.
The 21-year-old has now been included in the latest Lyon side to face Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Although Nuamah did not play from the start on the weekend, the 21-year-old did come off the bench to play a number of minutes off the bench.
Former Lyon defender Jake O’Brien has praised Nuamah amid the links to potentially joining him at Everton.
However, there is clearly a lot of work still needing to be done to get this proposed deal over the line.
