Everton’s summer transfer activity may have just taken a big boost whilst the squad are in the United States.

David Moyes can only sit and wait for new signings to come through the doors, but he is trying to push the needle.

During Everton’s time in New York, Moyes has admitted he wants nine new signings made ahead of the 1 September deadline.

With just three signings sealed, Angus Kinnear is being set quite a target in his first summer on Merseyside.

But this all comes as a result of The Friedkin Group’s high ambitions for the club.

Moyes is clearly wanting more from his recruitment team, and there has now been some movement in the pursuit of one of their targets.

Everton told Bayern Munich’s asking price for Adam Aznou

Earlier on Saturday, it was claimed Adam Aznou had handed in a transfer request to Bayern Munich, as he wants an exit.

Everton hold interest in Aznou as they aim to provide Moyes with another option at left-back.

According to The Athletic, Bayern Munich have now informed Everton of their €9m (£7.8m) asking price to sign the left-back.

Everton sources are suggesting talks between the two clubs are now progressing well.

Aznou’s desire to leave Bayern Munich could help speed up a potential deal, with Everton over in the United States for the next week or so.

The player’s ambition to play regular football will surely appeal to Moyes as he requires someone to push Vitaliy Mykolenko for the starting spot.

Adam Aznou could join Everton’s USA tour

With a deal believed to be progressing well, there is little reason why Aznou could not join up with Everton in America.

Of course, talks are going to have to develop without any issues for this to happen, but the left-back clearly wants a move.

Everton face West Ham United and Manchester United next week across the pond, and Aznou could provide Mykolenko with some much-needed relief.

Moyes asked for more signings, and he could well be about to get his wish.
