Everton were able to seal three huge points on Saturday against Leicester City.
David Moyes’ return to Goodison Park continues to impress with a nine-point gap now opened on the bottom three.
It was a sensational start for Everton as Abdoulaye Doucoure opened the scoring after 10 seconds, etching his name in the history books.
But it did not take long for the Toffees to double their tally, with Beto netting goal number two and three before half-time.
However, it is how he celebrated his second just before the break which caused a lot of intrigue to those in the stands at Goodison.

How Beto celebrated in Everton’s win over Leicester
Beto made his first Premier League start in eight weeks on Saturday against the Foxes with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out through injury.
The Portuguese striker looks set for a real opportunity to prove his worth in the starting XI.
Torino have been keen to sign Beto in the winter market, but that may move may have taken a blow due to the injury issues suffered on Merseyside.
After netting his second, Beto was seen tapping the Everton badge on his shirt in front of the fans at Goodison.
‘Ole ole ole Beto ringing round Goodison. Points to someone in the crowd then pounds the Everton badge in celebration,’ said one journalist from the press box.
Despite Beto having been open to leaving Everton, it seems the 26-year-old is ready to take on the role as the main striker.
And showing the form he did on Saturday, Everton fans must feel a great deal of confidence in the forward who was outcasted by Sean Dyche.
Beto has equalled Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s Premier League tally
After being left out of the starting XI in the game against Aston Villa last month, Beto was angered by Moyes’ selection.
Despite also having some strong transfer speculation surrounding him it is would seem the striker has remained on it in training.
Beto looked extremely sharp and strong against the Leicester backline as he equalled Calvert-Lewin’s Premier League tally for the season.
| Premier League 24/25 | Calvert-Lewin | Beto |
|---|---|---|
| Appearances (starts) | 22 (19) | 15 (2) |
| Minutes played | 1582 | 393 |
| Goals | 3 | 3 |
A move for Beto may be off this window, but the striker may well be making a claim for the long-term spot in the starting XI.
