Everton are looking to make Tyler Dibling their statement signing of the transfer window.
David Moyes knows there is a need for creativity in Everton’s attack moving forward, and the young Southampton star could be the answer.
This comes after the Toffees had an opening bid of £27 million rejected for the 19-year-old, as the Saints want £40 million for Dibling.
Whether The Friedkin Group will look to pay that fee is another question, but the young attacker looks like an exciting prospect.
Everton fans aren’t too convinced by Dibling, but if he were to join, some people at the club could love it, and some players not so much.

Winners from Tyler Dibling’s potential Everton transfer
The Friedkin Group
Although the figure stated above does seem a bit steep for a player who has only one season in the Premier League, Dibling’s talent is there for all to see, priding himself on his ability to drive with the ball.
His ability would make serious improvements to Everton’s future, as The Friedkins could soon be praised for signing the Saints youngster.
Dibling being worth £100m exemplifies how high the winger’s ceiling really is, and he could be the face of the owners’ project for years to come.
Thierno Barry
With the lack of creativity from the opening pre-season games, it’s clear that Thierno Barry will need more support.
The Frenchman is yet to start for Everton, but with Moyes’ side still struggling to score, there is a clear need for creative outlets in the squad.
Dibling has been compared to Paul Gascoigne, which emphasises the threat he can bring from just behind Barry, especially after over-performing his expected assists last season.
| Games played/started | 33/20 |
| Chances created | 20 |
| Actual/Expected assists (xA) | 0/1.46 |
| Long ball accuracy % | 58.3% |
| Successful dribbles per 90 | 2.16 |
| Fouls won per 90 | 2.40 |
Barry is expected to be the long-term striker at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and alongside Dibling, there is the potential for plenty of success.

Losers from Tyler Dibling’s potential Everton transfer
Carlos Alcaraz
The glowing attribute that comes with the youngster is his versatility in the final third, as Dibling can occupy a position in the ten, up front, and on the wing.
This will provide a threat to Carlos Alcaraz, as despite it looking nailed on that he’ll be the manager’s starting attacking midfielder, the Southampton player could ruin his plans.
At times, Moyes hasn’t been impressed with Alcaraz, so competition will be good for the Scotsman, who will expect Dibling to ruffle the Argentine’s feathers.
Jack Harrison
With the Toffees looking to secure their prime attacking signing for the summer, Jack Harrison’s return has been thrown further into doubt due to the Blues stepping up their pursuit of the starlet.
The Leeds United star has been on loan for the last two seasons, and Everton have the idea of Harrison joining again.
But Dibling’s arrival might put this to bed fully, as not only does the winger present a more exciting option, but the 19-year-old scored more goals last season than the 28-year-old in what was a campaign to forget.
It’s been made very clear that fans don’t want Harrison back, and although Dibling is a raw talent, his signing will be favoured over the Leeds star.
