Everton are one of the clubs that are showing a real interest in signing Douglas Luiz.

David Moyes is keen to add another midfielder to his squad before the new season starts.

Signings have been few and far between at Everton, with the Toffees only landing two new faces and Carlos Alcaraz.

With the Blues set to jet off for the United States, Moyes is demanding more signings to be made as the new season edges closer.

Everton are keen to sign Luiz from Juventus over the coming weeks, but they are not alone in their pursuit.

Fresh reports out of Italy are even suggesting the Blues are trailing some of their Premier League rivals in the race to land the Brazilian midfielder.

Douglas Luiz’s agent set for England visit amid Everton interest

It is believed Luiz is keen to make a Premier League return this summer following his departure from Aston Villa last year.

With the ‘world-class‘ midfielder open to playing Premier League football again, it has sparked the interest of numerous other clubs.

According to Tuttosport, the agent of Luiz is now set to visit England to hold talks with various clubs.

However, it is believed the midfielder has already put talks with Leeds United and Fulham on hold.

The report suggests Everton made contact with his agent just last week, and now they could be set for in-person talks.

Other reports have claimed Juventus are now demanding more money for Luiz, with interest ramping up in the midfielder.

Everton are going to face some serious competition to land Luiz this summer, but it seems a move to England is on the cards.

Harrison Armstrong will capitalise on Everton’s midfield demand

Whilst the demand for a new midfielder goes on, Harrison Armstrong’s stock on Merseyside will only increase.

Armstrong really impressed during Everton’s friendly against Accrington Stanley last week.

As the search goes on for a new starting midfielder, the 18-year-old will only be handed more opportunities during the Summer Series.

Moyes is open to handing Armstrong chances at Everton this summer, but the youngster will have to continue performing to earn a spot in the squad for next season.
