Ruthless Vitaliy Mykolenko hits back at Everton fan’s criticism with nine-word response

Everton have ended the winter transfer window having signed just one player.

David Moyes now has his squad set for the remainder of the season with the objective of keeping the club in the Premier League.

Carlos Alcaraz secured a late move to Everton on loan after the Toffees were forced to submit an extension to get the deal over the line.

Everton are nursing a number of injuries which has limited Moyes’ selection options.

There have been plenty of positives to take from the last three games under the 61-year-old with three wins on the bounce.

However, it seems not all of Everton’s fans are totally satisfied.

Vitaliy Mykolenko reacts to Everton criticism

Vitaliy Mykolenko is Everton’s only senior option at left-back with no further additions being added over the window.

It has been a turbulent campaign for the Ukraine international with some Everton fans criticising Mykolenko at times.

And he took the opportunity to hit back at one of them over Instagram earlier this week after his most recent post following the win over Leicester City.

One fan commented on the post saying: ‘Learn how to cross a ball please it’s bad’.

And the left-back ruthlessly replied: ‘You can come at training ground and teach me’.

During the game against Leicester, Mykolenko was only able to land one of his attempted three crosses, but he did provide one key pass.

Mykolenko is in talks over a new contract at Everton with the club clearly very happy with his contributions.

Although Everton do not need huge rotation playing just once a week, Mykolenko will naturally suffer from a lack of competition.

Everton need to sign another left-back

Moyes wanted Everton to sign a new full-back after joining the club midway through the January transfer window.

Everton also have some issues at right-back with expiring contracts, but there is plenty of competition for the starting spot.

The same cannot be said at left-back.

Ben Chilwell was a player of interest to Everton, but the Chelsea defender decided to join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season.

With PSR a major factor in January, Moyes will be hoping for more freedom in the summer to address areas like left-back.
